BrewDog Brighton Closes Its Doors After Nearly a Decade

The 26th of July 2025, Brighton has said goodbye to one of its well-known craft beer spots, as BrewDog Brighton officially closed its doors this month. The pub, located just off Grand Parade, had been a familiar fixture in the city’s vibrant bar scene since opening in 2015.

Known for its industrial interior, expansive beer selection, and unmistakable energy, BrewDog Brighton was more than just a place for craft beer fans. Over the years, it hosted everything from quiz nights and tap takeovers to casual meetups and weekend gatherings — becoming a part of the city’s social rhythm.

The closure is part of a wider pattern for BrewDog, which has seen a small number of its UK locations close recently. The company has cited rising costs and shifts in consumer behaviour as key factors behind these decisions. Like many businesses in the hospitality sector, BrewDog has faced increased pressure in the wake of the pandemic, inflation, and changing footfall in city centres.

While the Brighton site had a loyal following, it appears the economic realities of running a large-scale venue in a competitive and evolving market proved difficult to sustain.

There’s no word yet on what will replace the venue, but for now, many in Brighton will be reflecting on the role this bar played in the city’s nightlife — and the memories made within its walls.

Whether you stopped in for a quick pint, a catch-up with friends, or were one of the many who made it your local, BrewDog Brighton leaves behind a legacy in the community it served.
